Microarray Core Facility

Introduction

cDNA microarray based gene expression profiling provides a powerful and unprecedented tool for simultaneous monitoring of the expression levels from very large sets of genes.

The microarray core facility was established in January 2000 in the Department of Genetics and Development as part of an initiative to provide the UCHC basic and clinical research communities with access to a state-of-the-art service in this rapidly evolving technology. It is supported by a strategic initiative grant from the University of Connecticut Health Center, the Department of Genetics and Developmental Biology and the Centers for Molecular Medicine and General Clinical Research.
